Solo Show

I have a solo show in the West Roxbury Public library going up in January. I am pretty excited about it. here is the artist statement and a few sneak peeks!
Memories of Quebec
These paintings have both the fluidity of the paint and that of memories. I am interested in using drips of paint to obscure parts of the painting; this reminds me of the way that parts of memories can be obscured as well. My images are inspired by my summer trip to French Canada. It was just an incredibly beautiful region, and I keep finding my self-day dreaming of what it must be like at different times of the year. And some of these daydreams are working them selves out in these paintings. I went to French Canada because that is my heritage, and there for part of finding who I am.

End of the semester extravaganza!

Here are some photos of my studio space and peices I have been working on this semester. My final crits went well, with Stephanie giving me lots of helpful ideas, and Fred loving my work.
